This song is in standard tuning, E A D G B e (low to high)

This is this intro riff, which is also the riff for the verses.
Listen to it on the record to get a better feel for the rhythm, play it clean or with just a hint of overdrive. I think that it sounds good if you strum fairly freely but use your right hand to do cut offs in the appropriate places, it gives the track a ?tighter? feel.

This is the riff under the intro before it really kicks in, subtle use of the wah pedal in a fairly open position needed here to get it to sound right.

This is the rhythm for the chorus, fairly heavily overdriven. (Also for the intro when it kicks in)

This riff is quite hard to hear, but is played over the chorus and the intro when the chorus part kicks in. Again use the wah subtly.

This is the other rhythm part for the verse (Mostly the chords are just an extension of what the bass plays) the important bit here is the E chord at the 7th(VII) position, start quietly and then rapidly open out the dynamics, as this is just before the chorus kicks in, it creates a really good ?swell? into the chorus. It is a bit of a stretch and if you are finding it difficult then I suggest you miss off the E played at the 7th fret on the A string.

This is the octave part which is played over the chorus chords in the intro, during the middle eight section, and during the last couple of run-thoughs of the chorus.

This is the part which comes after the chorus the first time, the pause at the end is important before verse 2 kicks in. (for later reference this is part x)

This is the part after the second verse, which then leads into the middle eight.
(for later reference this is part Y)

(The ending is part Y followed by part X)

This is the middle eight section, I?m not sure if it?s right or not but it sounds OK when you play along to the record.
