Hero by Nickelback and Saliva

Transcribed by Danny Squared May 6, 2002
The beginning, simple chords
Strums and the like aren't hard to figure out, only a simple 4/4 song.
Tuning:  Standard, tuned down 2 whole steps I believe.

Fig. 1 (Verse)
I'm so high, I can hear heaven... rep. x2

Am                            F

Fig. 2 (Pre-Chorus)
But heaven don't hear me...(interesting how the melody just changes)

G# (barre) A#         F

4__________6__________1________________________________________________
5__________7__________2________________________________________________
6__________8__________3________________________________________________
6__________8__________3________________________________________________
4__________6__________1________________________________________________

Fig. 3 (Chorus) I
And they say that a hero can save us, I'm not gonna stand here & wait.
(begin the chorus w/the F chord from the pre chorus)

F ----------------> G#                A#                         B#
1___________________4_________________6__________________________8_____
1___________________4_________________6__________________________8_____
2___________________5_________________7__________________________9_____
3___________________6_________________8_________________________10_____
3___________________6_________________8_________________________10_____
1___________________4_________________6__________________________8_____

Fig. 3 (Chorus) II
I'll hold onto the wings of the angels and watch as they all fly away.
1st chorus:  End at the F, Others:  Go back to Fig. 3 (I)

After the second chorus, there's  a fingerpicked part which is
basically the chorus.  Here goes...

Fig. 4 (Interlude)
I don't know the lyrics, keep in mind that I made this from an Mp3
and the few times I've seen the video.

_4_______4-6-4_________6_______6-8-6________8______8-10-8______________
___4___________4_________6__________6________8___________8_____________
____5____________5_________7__________7_______9___________9____________
6_____6____________6__8______8_________8__10____10_________10__________

Now, the whole outro plays both variations of the choruses, ending at
chorus II, with the F chord.

Well, that's my tab of Nickelback's Hero from the Spiderman soundtrack.
It's not flawless, but it's the basic idea.  It looks weird, but I'm
confident that I'm right on most of the chords.
